JV Soccer Shows Promising Youth

Written by Josh Mueller '11 on September 20, 2009.

The JV soccer team’s season looks very promising as they head into midseason.  They recorded convincing victories against both Padua and Bay, tied Solon, and lost to perennial powerhouse Strongsville, leaving them at 2-1-1 on the year.

This year’s team is made up of several experienced sophomores and juniors and is bolstered by a strong freshmen class. The JV Eagles are headed in the right direction and are looking forward to another successful season.

Freshmen Stuart Ford, Bobby Daggett, Kevin Murray, and sophomore Sean O’Donnell have provided a spark for the team this year, each scoring one goal so far. Sophomore captain Jake Wilhelm has also made contributions, strengthening and leading the team’s mid field.

The team has important upcoming games, including a match with rival St. Ignatius on September 23, followed by games against Toledo St. John, Lake Catholic, and Lakewood.
