3rd Annual Box Night to be Held on Sept. 23

Written by Bryan Ambrogi '10 on September 20, 2009.

On September 23 St. Edward will host its third annual Box Night. As in the past, Box Night will kick off with students dining at St. Ed’s monthly community meal for poverty-stricken people from the surrounding community. After the meal, participants will build their boxes in which they will sleep overnight on Coughlin Field. A night football game has become a tradition and is expected to take place this year. After the night experience, participants will wake up early and head off to school in their overnight apparel. Past participants have described the adventure as eye-opening and extraordinary.  Each participant is asked to raise $30 for the 2100 Lakeside Men’s Shelter. There are only 50 spots for Box Night so interested students should see their religion teacher soon.
